Jessica Bravo, Founder

I grew up in a missionary family and during my childhood, in my travels with my parents I was able to see firsthand that, joy and fulfillment were not dictated by how much or how little a person had. Even in humble and underprivileged places like Colima, MX I was able to witness a kind of pure love, joy and kindness on the faces of children there that I hadn’t seen in the developed world I lived in. And in my later years those same feelings of pure love and joy that I felt around those kids stuck with me. As a result I‘d always had a desire to contribute to families something of value, but little did I know how that was going to manifest.

  • Fast forward many years as I had my own children while I was working full time, I realized that I had to choose between the advancement of my career and being able to see my kids grow up. I thought there had to be a place where my kids could learn and play while I would be close to them working, but it quickly dawned on me that such a place was not available, especially in this part of the country. In addition, one that offered a variety of creative and play-based programs and ethical values along with a supportive parent community without having to commute to several different locations was non-existent. Speaking with numerous parents around me I realized I was not alone in this situation.

That was when the idea for Savanna was born. I imagined a space that inspired kids with creative play structures, art & science projects, cooking, all while learning the morals that are so important for them to grow up as wholesome people. It would be a place that had a unique space for parents to do what they need, meet others, and have the peace of mind of being at the same location as their little ones. I’m beyond excited for what Savanna will be able to do for children, parents and communities as a whole!
